Yes. Playa Guiones is one of the best beaches in Costa Rica for learning to surf. It has a sandy bottom, consistent waves, and multiple peaks that spread surfers out, making it safer and more forgiving than reef or point breaks.
No prior experience is required. Beginners start with fundamentals on the beach and in the whitewater before progressing at a comfortable pace.
Lessons are private. You can choose individual (one-on-one) or small group (perfect for families and friends) instruction. Individual lessons allow for the most personalized coaching and faster progress.
